Staats Family
There was 2 sets of Staats in New York. Major Abraham Staats traveled north to settle near Albany, while Jan Pieterszen Van Huysen, settled in Gowanus (now Brooklyn). I guess they prove these 2 was not related. Jan 2 sons adopted the name Staats. They say that Jan did not used the surname.
My line go to Jan Pieterszen van Huysen.
Jan Pieterszen aka van Huysen Born 1605 in Huysem, Denmark
Major Abraham Staets aka Staats born Jan 1620 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
I guess there is a mystery of who is my ancestor Peter Staats b. 1690 of Gowanus father was. He married to a Lammetje Veghte. In Genealogies of New Jersey Families His parents are listed as Pieter Staats b. 1663, and Lysbet Aersen Middagh. Peter and Lammetje residing in Brooklyn. On Geni site they listed Peter parents as Abraham Staats, and Rachel Taylor. Abraham was the brother of Pieter Staats b. 1663. Abraham also had a son name Peter. On the other site I found says that Pieter son Peter b. 1690 has died young, and also had another son name Peter b. 1714. Pieter, and Lysbet has moved to Pennsylvania. So, Abraham Staats could be my ancestor Peter Staats father.
Peter Staats b. 1690 son Jan John moved to New Jersey, and married to a Femmetje Broka. Then their daughter Saartje married to a half-Dutch guy name Jacob Wimmer Sr. Jacob father Johannes came from Germany. Femmetje Broka was also a half-Dutch. Her grandfather Bourgan Broucard "Huguenot" came from France.

SAD TIMES!!!
Arthur Scott Sisley Life
Arthur Scott Sisley b. 14 Dec 1848 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. The son of Samuel Arthur Sisley, and Hannah Scott. He's listed 1850 census in Sandy Creek, Mercer, Pennsylvania with his parents. Don't know if his parents got divorce or his mother died bef 1859. Got her death listed 1867. They listed 1860 census in Gage, Nebraska Territory, but Arthur was living with the Gary Family. I guess his father push him off to another family, or he was a servant to the Gary family. Arthur set off for the big world as a teenager, and end up in Allen County, Indiana. Don't know if he kept intouch with his half brother William when he went away. He joined Civil War at the age of 16 years old. He fought in the Civil War for the Union in the 142 Indiana Infantry Company C. He entered the war with the rank of Private, and left with the rank of Private. He fought the Battle of Nashville on 15 Dec 1864 led by Major General, George Henry Thomas.
After the war he went to Missouri, and married to his uncle's sister-in-law Frances A. Swan on 10 Dec 1870 in Canton, Lewis, Missouri. The daughter of Abner Swan, and Mary Ann Daniels. They are listed 1880 census in Mendon, Adams, Illinois. They had 7 children, but 3 was living in 1900. Arthur was a Carpenter, and a officer of the guard under Col. Morton Post Organized in Quincy, Adams, Illinois. And I'm pretty sure he was a caring father for his children. His 14 years old daughter Minnie either took off or got kidnapped by a young married man named Amos Farris on 8 May 1894 in Quincy. His 2nd marriage came out in the middle of no where. Did not know about it. He got married to a Amanda Alma "Myers" Brice on 1920 in Adams, Illinois. The marriage did not last very long, because she died in the same year. She is buried with her husband John H. Brice in Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk, Lee, Iowa. Joseph Stephen Harrison Life
Joseph Stephen Harrison son of Samuel and Precious "Jones" Harrison
Eliza Jane Quaite daughter of Anderson and Mary "Pringle" Quaite.
A cousin from Iowa told me that Joseph and Eliza got married 3 Aug 1863 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, but I can't find no marriage record of them getting married there. But I have found a Hannah Quaite married to a Thomas Wood in Cape Girardeau, Mo, which Hannah could be Eliza's sister. Thier son William Monroe was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I can't find Joseph in 1870 census. They probably lived in Pike, Missouri, because thier daughter Dolly May died on 1877 and she is buried in a family plot in Riverview Cemetary. They are listed 1880 in Derry, Pike, Illinois. Joseph also went back to Indiana. His wife Eliza was born in Wayne county, Indiana. Thier youngest daughter Laura E. was born 1890 in Indiana. Thier long lost daughter Pearl I could'nt find for while stayed back in Indiana. She married to a firefighter, which his name is unknown. Then Joseph and Eliza came back before 1900 to Pike, Illinois, and maybe thier son Henry Ben brought them in Louisiana..
There Joseph died in his home on Eighth and Allen street's in Louisiana on Jul 23 1899. They had his funeral at the home he died in but they had the interment at Camp Point, Adams, Illinois for Joseph's remains, but don't know why. Probably his kids or his sister's lived thier. His kid's Louis and Maude moved around alot after he died. I lost his sister's after 1870 census. That is shocking stuff I ever found. Look like Joseph really buried in Camp Point. They must had a reason to buried him there. But then again his name is on family plot stone in Riverview Cemetary. Thier kids probably up dated the stone when Eliza died on 17 Jun 1923. Thomas death date is wrong. He did'nt died 1907, He died the year of 1908. And Dolly May probably also not buried with them either. It also odd they buried him in Adams County, Ill. His parents settle down in Pike County, not Adams County. So, This is a mistery! Eliza lived with her daughter Laura Dillender in her last year's, and she lived 24 years after Joseph's death.
