His 14 years old daughter Minnie either took off or got kidnapped by a young married man named Amos Farris on 8 May 1894 in Quincy. Arthur put a charge on Amos Farris for abduction his minor daughter Minnie. He went on a steamer trian to get Minnie in Dallas, Hancock, Illinois. His 2nd marriage came out in the middle of no where. Did not know about it. He got married to a Amanda Alma "Myers" Brice on 1920 in Adams, Illinois. The marriage did not last very long, because she died in the same year. She is buried with her husband John H. Brice in Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk, Lee, Iowa.
