Joseph Stephen Harrison son of Samuel and Precious "Jones" Harrison
Eliza Jane Quaite daughter of Anderson and Mary "Pringle" Quaite.
A cousin from Iowa told me that Joseph and Eliza got married 3 Aug 1863 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, but I can't find no marriage record of them getting married there. But I have found a Hannah Quaite married to a Thomas Wood in Cape Girardeau, Mo, which Hannah could be Eliza's sister. Thier son William Monroe was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I can't find Joseph in 1870 census. They probably lived in Pike, Missouri, because thier daughter Dolly May died on 1877 and she is buried in a family plot in Riverview Cemetary. They are listed 1880 in Derry, Pike, Illinois. Joseph also went back to Indiana. His wife Eliza was born in Wayne county, Indiana. Thier youngest daughter Laura E. was born 1890 in Indiana. Thier long lost daughter Pearl I could'nt find for while stayed back in Indiana. She married to a firefighter, which his name is unknown. Then Joseph and Eliza came back before 1900 to Pike, Illinois, and maybe thier son Henry Ben brought them in Louisiana..
There Joseph died in his home on Eighth and Allen street's in Louisiana on Jul 23 1899. They had his funeral at the home he died in but they had the interment at Camp Point, Adams, Illinois for Joseph's remains, but don't know why. Probably his kids or his sister's lived thier. His kid's Louis and Maude moved around alot after he died. I lost his sister's after 1870 census. That is shocking stuff I ever found. Look like Joseph really buried in Camp Point. They must had a reason to buried him there. But then again his name is on family plot stone in Riverview Cemetary. Thier kids probably up dated the stone when Eliza died on 17 Jun 1923. Thomas death date is wrong. He did'nt died 1907, He died the year of 1908. And Dolly May probably also not buried with them either. It also odd they buried him in Adams County, Ill. His parents settle down in Pike County, not Adams County. So, This is a mistery! Eliza lived with her daughter Laura Dillender in her last year's, and she lived 24 years after Joseph's death.
