Fisherman Died Suddenly In His Boat
Hershel Harrison fisherman about 40 years of age, who lived with his family, wife and eight children, in a building, near the mouth of Sait river, died suddenly of a heart attack while fishing in his boat near the old waterworks pump house at 8:45 a.m. Saturday. He suddenly became ill and in the boat and told his son Lewis, who was with him to "watch him" and fell over in the boat and died instantly. The body was brought to Haley mortuary in Louisiana and Porter Turpin, coroner, came here and conducted an investigation but did not hold an inquest He issued a burial permit giving heart trouble at the probable cause of death. It is understood that Harrison has been receiving medical treatment for this allment. Funeral services for were conducted in the Haley mortuary chapel at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon by Rev J. E. Chappell and burial was in Riverview Cemetery. Harrison was a son of Edward Harrison and was born in this city.

Mrs. Lola Helen Harrison, 76 of Rt. 2, Louisiana died at 12:35 a. m. this morning April 7 1980 at Pike County Hospital.
Visitation will be after 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana.
The funeral will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Harrison will be buried in Riverview Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 11 1903 at Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of August H. and Minnie Belle Sisley Arend. She was married to Herschel Everett Harrison. He died in 1937. She was also preceded in death by four children.
Mrs. Harrison was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisiana.
She is survived by eight sons. Louis Harrison of Alton, Ill., Herschel Harrison of Eolia, Nelson Harrison of Eolia, Herbert Harrison of Alton, Ill., Roy Harrison of Alton, Ill., Edgar Harrison of Louisiana, Donald Harrison of Louisiana, Irwin Hoaglin of Alton, Ill.: Three daughters Mrs. Jim (Lydia) Hoaglin of Louisiana, Mrs. Dean (Georgie) Wineland of Hot Springs. Ark., and Mrs. Emmett (June) Niffen of Louisiana; two brothers Floyd Arend of Keokuk, Iowa and Lyndel Arend of Terre Haute, Ind.; two sisters Mrs. Blanche Glascow and Miss Gladys Arend, both of Keokuk, Iowa; 43 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
Lola Helen Arend was the daughter of August Henry Arend and Minnie Belle Sisley. She married to Hershel Everett Harrison on 16 OCT 1919 in Quincy, Adams, Illinois, and they had 9 children name William, Louis, Hurshel, Nelson, Herbert, Roy, Edgar, Lydia, and Donald.
Lola had 5 more children with a William Clifford Hoaglin. They was never married. The children name's are Georganna, Doris, 2 Infant sons, and Irvin.
