With my moms DNA. She match up with someone that has a Leyva name. His line go up to Jose Santos Leyva and Sebastiana Ortíz. They lived in San Luis Potosi, Mexico area where my great grandma Amalia and her brother Roberto was born at with their mothers name Hernandez. Thier parents never got married. Amalia father was a break wall for a very long time. Have broke thru a break wall thru DNA also with a picture with a name on it. The guy name is J Louiz Leyva Ortíz. the photo was taken in 1954. Now I have to go all thru Jose Santos Leyva and Sebastiana Ortíz children. They do have alot.
I figered Amalia father was Jose Luis Leyva Ortiz who born in 1868 and died in 1964. He was married to Maria Refugio Espericoeta who passed in 1910. Then got married to Maria Refugio sister Norberta. What I have found that Jose Luis and Maria Refugio had 12 children which 6 of them made it to the adult hood. Amalia and Roberto poss. have half siblings thru their father. As I can see the Leyva are still in San Luis Potosí, México area. Jose Luis grandson Rafael Leyva Rangel went to Brownsville, Cameron, Texas back in 1953.
