My Haunted House

This is within 5 years that I know of. Between 2010-2015 

The house I'm living in build in 1920. The Sizemore's lived here for a very long time until Janie died in 1981. Janie's 14 years old daughter Roxana died of cancer in this house in 1926. The Ahart's lived here in the 1980s, I have heard their 2 or 4 years old daughter Pam died here. and the Elliott's lived here in the 1990s. Now between 2000, and 2010 alot of people lived here. 4 people told us their was a big black guy name Blue shot himself in the living room. I research the Directary, and old phone books to find these name's back in 2011. All of the Sizemore's is buried at Riverview Cemetary.

It is creepy, but we don't pay attention to it. There is brown spots in the ceiling right by the fan. We are thinking they are blood stains. The spots been there since we moved here.

Dec 16 2017

The day after my dog Buck pass I felt brush against the back of my head last night. It felt like something was falling off of my hair. Or air going down my hair. I even grab the back of my head to see what it was. Maybe Buck telling me he's OK for breathing down my hair. He did died close to my desk. It was weird.

Lost my Dog

My pet dog Buck just all of sudden pass away at 8:21 this morning. "Dec 14 2017"  I knew something was wrong. So, I woke the kids up at 1:00 in the morning to give him a kiss and say goodbye in case he pass. We thought he was just sick. We will never find another dog like him. He was a good dog, and spoiled dog. He was part of the family. He was only 7 years old.

We only had him for 5 years when he was 3 years old. We rescue him from his owner, because he was going to shoot him in his head. My youngest daughter was so scared of dog's before we got him, but she did got used to him. Now, He is up in dog heaven.

Mandela Effect Experiences

I know this have nothing to do with genealogy, but it is pretty interesting to learn. Perhaps our ancestors experience Mandela Effect in their life time long before the words Mandela Effect was a thing. But we will never know.  

The Mandela Effect has started, because people though this Nelson Mandela had died several of times in the 1980's, 1991, and 2010. But died in the year of 2013. Most popular one that he died in the 1980's in prison. I ask my mom about this Nelson Mandela guy. And She says he was a President of Africa. I research and I have learn he got out of prison in 1990, and he became the first black president of South Africa in 1994. So. He will never became a President if he died in the 1980's. 

I am not saying they are crazy, because I myself went through the same similar situation. First here's are my thoughts on this subject. Once you heard of some one that has passed, you will never think of looking them up after their death. Even get updates on them, because they are gone. It's like they left the face of the earth. Hopefuly that make sense. Try to explained the best way that I could. 

I myself had 1 or maybe 2 Mandela Effect experiences. 

Believe it or not, but I thought the lead singer Serj-Tankian of System-of a-Down died in between  2001 and 2003. I believe it was in 2002 not for sure. A week ago my daughter had discover System-of a-Down. Her dad and I told her the lead singer Serj-Tankian had died a long time ago. Or That's what we thought in all of these years. In the year of 2002 I did not own a computer until I met my 

boyfriend in 2003. So, There was no internet for me in 2002 at that time I have heard the news 5of his death. I was at a family member house, and a friend of thier's borrow the System-of a-Down C.D. Toxicity, because the lead singer had died. Did not know for sure who died. After I got with my boyfriend I have ask him if he heard someone from System-of a-Down had died not too long ago. He said, The lead singer had took his own life. The only album that I know of their's at that time was Toxicity that came out in 2001. I have never heard from them since I heard the news. Because I though he died. Even known they released 2 albums after 4 years of his death. Which I have notice they have 4 year gap releasing their albums. Like I said above You will never think of looking them up, because they are long gone. 

Now, This one is very different situation. We all know about D.C.-sniper attacks or do we? A couple of weeks ago I have seen a video that a guy was in prison with D.C.-sniper Lee-Boyd-Malvo. So, I have decided to look them up. One problem is that I did not know that happened in 2002. The only way I knew about them is through facebook. That's why I though the D.C.-sniper just happened a few years back. I mean I kept up on updates, and it was very detail on the case. I am thinking maybe this Lee had court.

In 2012, the Supreme Court ruled that mandatory life sentences for juveniles were unconstitutional. 

Either this was Mandela Effect or this show's people just don't pay attention anymore. I believe "don't pay attention anymore".

I have test my kids and my church lady out on couple of things. I believe these examples have been 

change and misspelled over time. That's probably why people keep on getting them wrong. Or people 

dont pay attention to details on a small little thing like Coca-Cola label. They also get major events confused like 9/11 Attacks.

The spell is really JCPenney not JCPenny.

It was "Sex and the city" not Sex in the city. I got this one right.

It is "Luke, I am your father" not No, I am your father.

It is "Life is like a box of chocolates" not Life was like a box of chocolates.

It was “Mirror, mirror on the wall" not Magic mirror on the wall.

Fruit Loops is actually spelled Froot Loops.

It was "E.T. phone home" not E.T home phone

It is ”Looney Toons” not Looney Tunes My son though it was spelled Looney Toons. Church lady though both ways but she choose Toons first. Maybe because of Cartoons.

Curious George dont have a tail. My daughter says he had a tail. And church lady says he don't have one. I would think a normal animal would have a tail.

Remember Mona Lisa not smiling, but now she is. My daughter says she is not smiling, but my son says she's smiling in both picture's. Church lady says, She is smiling.

Monopoly man did had a monocle but the he don't have it. My kids says he did had monocle on.

Remember Kit-Kat with a dash, but My kids and church lady says KitKat dose not have a dash in between.

My kids, the church lady and I though Coca Cola did not had dash in between the words. I dont think anyone notice the dash, because it is very small.

Smokey the Bear or Smokey Bear I show the picture of the bear to my daughter, and shes says it is "Smokey the Bear" But it is Smokey Bear.

White-Out or Wite-Out My son says he remember it was spelled with a h.

I knew Martin Luther King Jr. was killed with a sniper. How I know that is from the movie Full Metal Jacket. But Some though he got killed by a handgun.

JKF assassination had 6 seaters car. Some though it was 4 seaters.

10 years anniversary

This month is my 10 years anniversary doing genealogy. I have done alot of work on the Harrison's, the Arend's, and on the Rangel's. Even went to the next level with DNA over a year ago. I keep on searching on my break wall's in case something new comes up. Found out Sarah Loy maiden name was O'Neal through her daughters marriage record's. I was excited when I have found Minnie Belle Sisley death date on Chronicling America 2 years ago.

2 set of Harrison's not related

It look like My Joseph Harrison family is not related to the Mitchell Harrison family that is also buried in Riverview Cemetery, Louisiana, Pike, Missouri. A descendant name Robert of Mitchell Harrison cant find the name of my dads cousin who took dna test on myheritage. That show proof they are not related through dna.

When I first started out on genealogy a cousin from Iowa that is a descendant from Joseph's son William pointed me out to Samuel Harrison, and Precious Jones in Pike, Ill. They do have a Joseph listed with them in the 1860 Census. It could be a different Joseph who probaby died after 1860. This Joseph was born 1839 in Illinois. In 1880 Census for my Joseph says his parents was born in Ohio.

He also said Joesph Harrison and Eliza Quaite got married in Cape Girardeau. Their marriage date is on Eliza obit, I cant find their marriage record, but I did found Eliza poss. sister Hannah married to a Thomas Wood in Cape Girardeau.

I do know Joseph was not married when he enter the Civil war. He got married a year after he got mustered out of Civil war. He was in the war for only 8 months. And listed where he Enlisted, and Mustered at. So, He been at New London, Ralls, Missouri, and Monticello, Lewis, Missouri. Then I guess Joseph filed for pension on 1888 in Indiana, and maybe couple of weeks after he died in 1899 Eliza filed for pension. I did not know where in Indiana they was living in, but I have found out where their youngest daughter Laura was born at. She was born at Argoo, Marshall, Indiana 2 years after they file for pension.

Their daughter Pearl stayed back in Wayne, Indiana. Wayne county, Indiana is where Eliza was born at.

Joseph's name is on the family plot in Riverview Cemetery, but on his obit it says the remains were taken to "cant't read" Point, Ills., for interment. I believe it is Camp Point, Adams, Illinois. I believe they was in Pike, Mo. Their daughter Dolly died in 1877, and buried at Riverview.

So, There are so many places to check at.

Female Line Very Slim

I just orderd mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) test HVR1 and HVR2 from familytreedna on Dec 30 2016. Its trace maternal side. Which my line go up to Anna Margaretha Grotjans in Prussia Germany. 

My line is very slim. 4 and 1 daughters had children in each generations. Heres the list.  

Anna Margaretha Grotjans had one daughter
Anna Christina Schueten had 3 daughters, but one had children. 
Maria Magdalena Loethen had 4 daughters, but one had children. Went to the States.
Anna Cristina Mertens had 7 daughters, but 4 had children. 
Susanna-Susan Poepping had 2 daughters, both had children.
Christine Joanne Hess had 5 daughters, 3 had children.
Margaret Mary White had 2 daughters, but one had children.
Carol Ann Rangel had 3 daughters, all had children. 4 Granddaughters

Mary Elizabeth Poepping daughter Mary Susan Zirbes only had 2 daughters out of 11 children, but one died at a young age. Mary's daughter Rita Margaret Ortloff had 3 daughters still living.  I do have a DNA connection with Rita's nephew Robert Ortloff Sr. 

Maria Magdalena Poepping daughter Christina Behner had 9 daughters out of 12 children, 5 daughters  became nuns, and 3 had children. There is one daughter that is still living, and poss. never got married.

6th maternal grandmother Anna Margaretha Grotjans "Took mtDNA Plus test HVR1 and HVR2" 

My 5th maternal grandmother was Anna Christina Schueten. Her daughter Maria Magdalena Loethen, and husband Heinrich (Henry) Joseph Mertens settled in Osage, Missouri. Henry and Maria daughter Anna Cristina Mertens is my 3rd grandmother. Anna married to a Francis Xavier Poepping, and moved to Stearns, Minnesota. 

I am researching females in my line from Anna. Anna have female's living from her 3 daughter's.
