Home Town

My grandparents Roy and Mary was raise here in Louisiana, Mo. It seems like you always come back here even known you moved far away from Louisiana. I have came back twice. Roy's and Mary's 4th generations will be raise here. Hopefully they will move somewhere else to find a gf and a bf when they get out of School. Bring some new fresh blood in. For me I got lucky finding David here in Pike, Mo. His family came from a small town that is not too far from St. Louis

I'm all for Bring some new fresh blood in. Been doing genealogy for almost 9 years now. And I have search people that I did'nt know I was related to.

3 sets of 4 generation in one family

I have found 3 sets of 4 generation back to back in one family, and that doesn't happen very often back then.

Ruth Tuttle (1750-1831) 81
Elizabeth Axtell (1789-1864) 75
Rhoda Scott (1806-1887) 81
Samuel Arthur Sisley (1829-1885) 56
Arthur Scott Sisley (1848-1921) 73
Minnie Belle Sisley (1879-1911) 32

Ruth, Elizabeth, Rhoda, & Samuel Year gap 79

Elizabeth, Rhoda, Samuel, & Arthur Year gap 57

Rhoda, Samuel, Arthur, & Minnie Year gap 73

Ruth's oldest grandchild was Eliab Axtell (1795-1855) through her 2nd child Eliab Axtell. She had 103 grandchildren, but 89 of them was born while she was alive, and 14 was born after her death. I'm pretty sure she had about or over 120 descendant that survived her counting her great grandchildren.

Elizabeth Axtell had 70 grandchildren but 9 was born after her death. Elizabeth had Rhoda when she was 17 years old.

Minnie had died young, but her daughter Lola Helen "Arend " Harrison have seen her 4 generation.

Made it to 5th generation

This is a cool fact to know. There would've been 6 generation on my Rangel side if Paula lived one more year. Paula 105, Victor 89, Simon 70, Carol 38, Carrie 15, Kenneth born in 1992. But there was 5 generation. Right now we are at 4 generation on both sides the Harrison and the Rangel. Waiting for Kenneth to have a baby.

Victor first born, Simon 2nd born, Carol 4th born, Carrie and Kenneth first born.

Paula had Victor at the age of 16
Victor had Simon at the age of 19
Simon had Carol at the age of 32
Carol had Carrie at the age of 23

Lucky Grandpa Roy Harrison have seen his 4 generation. He died 2 years after his great grandson was born.

Mixed Ancestry

I can't wait to see my DNA results. I want to know if I have Native American in me. My grandma told me that her mom Laura is Native American. I have one line and one poss. line.

I have read that the Ruyle family is mixed with Native American or with African American. My 5th grandfather John Leroy Ruyle 1st wife Polly Bird poss mixed with African American. I am a descendant of John's 2nd wife Ann Gilpin. John And Polly son Alfred had dark complexion, black hair and black eyes. John father Henry came from France, and his mother Catherine poss be mixed with Native American, but her surname is unknown.

They said this is a myth about the Native American and the connection to John Dods. John Dods who came to Jamestown Colony on Susan Constant April 6 1607 with Capt. John Smith poss be the grandfather of Charles Dodson. They got him listed with Jane Eagle Plume, and also with a Jane Dier.

Germans came to USA

Took me about 6 months or a year to find the list of them coming to USA. before 2010

Johann Henrich and Anna Martha "Bax/Box" Arend and their 6 children either went through Netherlands, Belgium, or France to get to England. They possible took a ship around England to land in Glasgow, Scotland. Either way they went to Glasgow to get on a ship called S/S Australia that was going to the United States. They aboard Australia on Apr 6 1872, and landed in New York, United States on Apr 15 1872. It only took 8 or 9 days to cross atlantic ocean. After they landed they maybe traveled elsewhere. John probably took his family to Nebraska before they decided to Settle down in Quincy, Illinois. They have arrive in Quincy on 1874 the same year their oldest got married.

This is base on what I found about the ship and on their Obit's.
